Endless hours cooped up in front of a lifeless computer
Health ordeals over the years
Worrisome “What ifs”
So pause I did

Hike up magnificent mountains
Paused to
Feel the Artic winds blowing fiercely through my hair
Paused to
Grasp snowflakes for the first time ever
Paused to
Peer into the horizon for the northern lights
Paused to
Admire God’s stunning handiwork in more forms than one
Paused to
Revere the Creator by witnessing the creation
Paused to
Be thankful for everything I am and everything I have
Paused to
Be humbled and realize how frail a being I truly am
Before the timeless Almighty
