The head of “Mandy and Saints” our Christmas Carol group, Wesley was a sport we could pull gags on. My memories are still vivid and it is like only yesterday that we went on carol rounds to the staff quarters, hostels and to the principal’s house. The thrill was singing inside the ladies hostel at night wearing dark glasses. We did get asked if we represented a blind school but then in those days we got back laughing like we performed at the Golden globes. Wesley was warm and affable, soft spoken yet firm. Very generous at heart, it  would melt when people shared their woes. We played, we spoke, we shared and did so much together. Life took us on different paths but I know one day we will meet at the same destination in the place where there is no sorrow and pain.
